Title:

When Jesus Walks Into Your Stuck Place

Text:

John 5:1–9 (NIV)

Speaker:

Dr. Rodney T. Morton, Senior Pastor

Synopsis:

In John 5, Jesus confronts a man who has spent thirty-eight years stuck on a mat—not just bound by paralysis, but by patterns, disappointments, and misplaced expectations. This passage reminds us that many of us have our own “mats”—places we’ve settled because they became predictable and familiar, even while draining our spiritual vitality. But when Jesus walks into the stuck places of our lives, everything changes.

Jesus sees what others ignore. He knows how long we’ve been battling the same struggles. He asks questions that expose desire, confront excuses, and call us back into purpose. With one authoritative word—“Get up”—He breaks cycles, restores strength, and calls us into a future not defined by our history but by His healing.

This message challenges every believer to rise from what has held them, carry the testimony of God’s grace, and walk into renewed purpose, restored identity, and Spirit-empowered transformation.
